Rolled oats:80gms
Veggies of your choice:200gms
Oil:4gms
Dessiccated coconut:2gms
Curry leaves/green chillies/onions/cumin seeds/mustard seeds for tempering : as per taste
Onions:75gms
Red chilli powder: as per taste
Half small lemon squeeze
Salt as per taste
Turmeric powder as per taste
STEPS: . Heat pan . Add oil . Add cumin seeds/mustard seeds/curry leaves /green chillies for tempering and fry well . Add chopped onions and fry till translucent . Now add veggies of your choice, turmeric and chilli powder, salt as well . Fry and saute till soft . Now add water in batches around :ml and saute . Now add oats (make sure it doesn’t make it soggy by adding more water) . Further more add water if only required or else skip add more water . Keep stirring till oats turn to be soft, squeeze a lemon and mix well . Serve it to a bowl and drizzle some desiccated coconut on top of hot oats upma, it gives you a pleasant flavour
