Defatted Soya Flour - 50gm
Gram flour- 25gm
Rice flour- 25gm
Spinach - 100gm
Onion- 20gm
Dry ingredients (as per taste)- salt, black pepper, cooking soda, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, carom seeds
olive oil - 5gm
Mix all the flours along with cooking soda and keep it aside.
Clean and cut spinach leaves and onion. It must be finely chopped and add it to the flour mixture.
Now add all dry ingredients and mix well. I have added pinch of dry masalas.
Slowly add water until you get thick paste consistency.
In a appe pan, grease it with olive oil/ghee and pour in the paste in equal portions and cover it.
Let it cook for mins and flip on other side or until it's golden brown on both sides.
Note: I have tried without oil as well. But that won't give you the same coating as in the pic. But taste wise, both are same
