Moong dal - 50 gms
Rava (Semolina) - 30 gms
Curd - 100 gms
Salt as per taste
One packet Eno/ Baking Soda
1 inch ginger
Tumeric, Garam Masala, Red Chilli Powder, Hing (Asafoetida)
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Ghee - 10 gms
Green Chillies - 2 chopped
Soak moong dal in water for half an hour
Throw the excess water and add the curd, inch ginger and grind everything in a mixer
Add Rava to the mixture. Give it a mix. Add salt and all the spice powders except for Hing.
Grease a microwaveable tiffin box or bowl with gm ghee
Add eno to the batter. Mix well and add to the greased tiffin box/bowl.
Microwave the batter on medium temperature for - minutes
Put a knife in the center and check if it comes out clean, if it doesn't, it needs to be cooked for a little more time. Once done, remove in a plate and cut in medium size pieces
Heat gms ghee. Add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, green chillis and red chilli powder and pour it over the dhoklas or fry the dhoklas in the pan for a bit with the tadka. Done!
