Ginger-garlic paste: 5 gm
Turmeric powder: 3 gm
Mustard seeds: 1 gm
Coriander powder: 3 gm
Cumin powder: 3 gm
Onion: 30 gm
Chilli: 2
Oil: 5 ml
Bay leaf: 1
Tomato: 30 gm
Red chillies: 2
Coriander leaves: For garnishing
Soak the dal a night prior.
Cook the dal in a cooker for - whistles.
Heat the oil in the vessel.
Put the dry chillies, bay leaf and mustard seeds. Fry the ginger-garlic paste, chillies, tomatoes and onions.
Add the spices and stir for - minutes.
Add the dal.
Now close with the lid and let it cook for minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with phulka/rice.
