Chana dal: 75 gm
Rice flour: 15 gm
Onions: 100 gm (Optional)
Spinach: 100 gm
Green chillies: 2 or 3
Ginger: Thumb size
Garlic: 2 or 3 cloves (Optional)
Cumin seeds: 1 tablespoon
Salt: As per taste
Wash and soak chana dal for hrs.
Drain the water completely and grind dal along with chillies, ginger, garlic and cumin seeds.
Add finely chopped onions and spinach.
Sprinkle rice flour little by little and squeeze and mix.
Check for seasoning and add salt.
Shape into patties and refrigerate for a couple of minutes.
Heat the tawa or pan and fry them with oil on both sides until crisp.
You can also bake or air fry.
Serve hot.
