This is one of my favorite simple recipes to eat hot straight out of the cooker! ) waah and Soak the rice and dal ) add ghee in a cooker on mid flame. Once it hot, add some jeera, sliced green chilli, thinly sliced onion and few strips of thinly sliced ginger. Sauté till onions are translucent/lightish brown ) add the mixed rice and dal, salt to taste, some Haldi, some red chilli powder. ) add . times the amount of water as the soaked rice and dal. In this case it was gms rice, gms dal = gms so I used gms water. ) give it a stir and pressure cooker for - whistles. ) eat hot n fresh with curd/chutney/cucumber/veggie of your choice.
