Egg - 1
Banana - 100 g (ripe)
Whole wheat flour - 40 g
Oats flour - 40 g
Soya chunks flour - 18 g
Jaggery - 20 g (dates paste can be used instead too)
Milk - 90 Ml
Greek yoghurt/fresh hung curd - 70 g
Cashews/Walnuts/Almonds - 15 g
Oil (I used canola oil) - 15 g
Cocoa powder (cadbury unsweetened cocoa powder preferably) - 20 g
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder - 3/4 tsp
Pinch of salt
1.5 scoop whey (chocolate preferably)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a container.
Wheat flour, soya flour (not compulsory, I'm using it to raise the protein content), oats flour, jaggery powder, baking soda, baking powder, pinch of salt, cocoa powder.
Seive the dry ingredients once so that it's not in lumps. Leave it aside.
In another container mix the wet ingredients.
Mash the bananas, add the egg, milk, vanilla essence, and oil.
Get the oven ready at °C
Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients container and fold the batter gently so that everything gets incorporated and there are no lumps.
Add the batter to a mould and put it in the oven for about - minutes.
While the cake is getting ready let's prepare our easy frosting!
For the frosting, mix the fresh greek yoghurt / hung curd with scoop of whey. Check if it's sweet enough for you, add more sweetness if needed
Once - mins are up poke the cake with a knife through the middle to see if it comes out clean, otherwise let it sit for another - mins.
Take the cake out of the oven and once it's cooled down apply the frosting all over the delicious cake.
Top it with your favourite dry fruits and enjoy the healthy and high protein cake!
