100 gms barnyard millet 150 gms fine chopped vegetables ( carrits, beans,broccoli, peas, or any of ur choice) Grated ginger Finely chopped green chillies grinded into paste Lemon juice For seasoning 15 gms oil/ghee Sweet curry leaves Mustard seeds Salt to taste Red chily powder ( if required as per taste)
Take a big cooking pan and heat the ghee:oil in it. Once the bubbles disappear n the fumes start rising , add cumin seeds , mustard seeds, all vegetables, ginger n chilly paste n sauté for five min Now add barnyard millet and -/ glass of water( water can be less or more according to the consistency required ,as it absorbs water). Less it cook on low flame for min. Check The millet , which should be soft like rice once cooked fully. Add salt , red chilly powder lemon juice to taste. Close the flame and serve hot. Serving size :-
