onion, green chilies, veggies of your choice (I usually use cabbage, spinach and potato), plain yoghurt, gram floor (basan), pinch of baking powder
Step : Chop small onion and - gm of cabbage in long shreds, add - chopped green chilies according to your spice preference, (you can potatoes or spinach or any other vegetable you want as well), then marinate the veggies with salt, chili powder, chat masala, and a little bit of garam masala and leave for - minutes. Step : Add table spoons of plain yoghurt and mix well. Step : Add about - grams of gram flood (basan) in the marinated veggies & yogurt mixture and a pinch of baking powder and mix well with fork. It will be a bit dry to start with but slowly with the yogurt and water release from veggies, it will come together as a very thick batter. You can add a spoon of water if needed but not much as to make in air fryer, better must be thik. Step : Once the better is ready, place a parchment paper in the air fryer, brush a tiny bit oil at the paper and then add pakoras onto it. - pakoras in one go and it takes about - minutes on each side. Brush with a little butter or oil while flipping. It takes slightly longer than deep frying to cook these through but these psakora taste so much better than the deep fried ones and the best part is that we can enjoy a plate full of them guilt free.
