50 GMs yellow moong dal ( or any dal of your choice)
30 gm rice ( you can increase decrease quantity as per your macros)
80 gm spinach
70 GMs onion and 70 GMs tomatoes
Few garlic pods, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, powder, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves
Soak dal and rice for around an hour
Put spinach in boiling water for two minutes and then run under cold water. Make a purée out of it
Pressure cook dal and rice for around whistles by adding turmeric, salt and enough water. Let the pressure settle
For tadka, take ghee in a pan, add mustard and cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves. Add finely chopped onions and garlic. Once garlic turns brown add dry spices and tomatoes. Add the puréed spinach and cook for few minutes. Now add the cooked rice dal to the tadka. Squeeze some lemon for that extra flavour
