Cauliflower: 400 gm, Potato: 200 gm, Oil: 30gm, Rice: 200gm, Daal:70 gm, Ghee: 5 gm, green chilly 2,cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger paste, tomato: 2 medium, chilly powder, jeera powder and haldi powder, Salt
In frying pan, add the half oil and fry the cauliflower,potato and keep it aside. Heat the remaining oil in the pressure cooker and fry the whole spices, then add ginger paste followed by chillies and chopped tomatoes. Once the tomatoes are cooked add the masala powders. Fry them well and add the washed rice and daal to it. Fry both for another minutes then add salt and enough water to cook. Now add the ghee if required and close the lid. Once it's cooked % turn off the gas. When the pressure is released open and add the fried vegetables. Give it a mix and close the pressure cooker and cook until one whistle. let the vessel cool down and the Khichdi is ready This serves .
