2 to 3 garlic cloves
2 to 3 green chillies

100gms curd

Wash and soak the dal overnight.
Put the soaked dal with all the ingredients in a mixer grinder. Add a bit of water.
Grind to a smooth paste. add water bit by bit if required. The batter consistency is like that of a dosa batter.
Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
Add about / of the batter and spread evenly.
Patiently cook for a good to mins on medium flame.
Flip over and cook for another to mins.
Makes medium sized chillas.
