Green chilka moong dal 20 gms
Chana dal 10 gms
Yellow moong dal 10 gms
Onion 40 gms
Tomato 30 gms
Wheat flour 40 gms
Rawa 20 gms
Soya flour 30 gms
Ghee 20 gms
Water
Red chillpowder
Turmeric
Garam masala
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Salt
Firstly soak all the dals together for atleast an hour
Boil the dal in cooker
Meanwhile for the dough combine all the flours and rawa. Add gms ghee and knead a semi hard dough
In a kadai add gms ghee, add sliced onion and tomato.
As they are cooked, add all the masalas and add little water to cook the masalas
After - boils add the cooked dal and add salt as per taste
For the baatis, make round balls and make a X in between. Heat a appam pan and add the remaining ghee in it
Cook the baatis on a slow flame for mins. Keep rotating the baatis in the pan after every mins
In a plate brake all the baatis in two parts and pour the cooked dal. You can garnish it with garlic chutney and coriander
