beetroot -1 carrot-1 onion-1 tomato-1 groundnuts-3/4 tablespoons chana dal- 2 tablespoons cumin seeds-2 teaspoons ginger-1 inch garlic - 6-7 cloves turmeric- 1 tea spoon salt-to taste mirchi powder - to taste pepper powder- to taste paneer -optional
Heat the pan
Add oil/ghee ,add cumin seeds and wait for them to splutter
Add ginger and garlic and wait for the aroma
Add chana dal and wait for them to change color
Add peanuts and wait for them to change color
Add chopped onions and wait for them to turn pink
Add turmeric
Add chopped beetroot,carrot and tomato
Add salt
Wait for the Vegetables to turn mushy, if not add some water and bring it to boil
Once the vegetables are cooked ,cool them add grind them to a puree
Pour this puree into a pan and add vegetable stock/whey/water and add bring it to a boil
Milk can be added if you like it sweetened
Add mirchi powder and pepper powder
Garnish it with tablespoons of homemade paneer
