Raw papaya: 200 gm
Ghee: 12 gm
Soya chura/granules: 45 gm
Masoor dal: 55 gm
Ginger paste: 10 gm
Coconut, grated: 25 gm
Turmeric powder: 3 gm
Coriander powder: 3 gm
Cumin powder: 3 gm
Chilli: 4 pieces
Fennel seed: 12-14 pieces
Kalonji: 10-12 pieces
Sugar-free: 2 gm
Garam masala: A pinch
Soak dal in lukewarm water hour prior. Soak the soya chura in warm water for mins and squeeze the water out.
Grind the dal, soya chura, chillies, gram ginger paste and salt together. Make small dumplings and shallow fry at low temperature in the ghee.
Remove the dumplings from the ghee.
Add the kalonji and fennel seeds to the leftover ghee. Then fry the remaining ginger paste and chillies.
Add the grated papaya and coconut, then the spices and salt. Stir fry for minutes. Keep the lid closed.
Add a cup of water followed by the dumplings.
Now close with the lid and let it cook for - minutes.
Add a pinch of garam masala and around grams sugar-free and mix them well.
Goes well with chapati or rice.
