chopped 40 gm methi, 40 gm matar(boiled separately)
5 gm amul fresh cream, 10 gm ghee/oil (lesser the better) half used for sautéing methi and matar, half used for the main gravy.
5 gm cashew, 30 gm onion, 60 gm curd, garlic, ginger
green chili, cinnamon, bayleaf, cardamom (just for boiling) these things actually don't go into the gravy
Boil matar separately.
Boil onion, cashews,split green chilli, bayleaf, cinnamon and cardamom till onions become translucent.
Remove chilli, cardamom ,bay leaf and cinnamon.In the blender add curd, garlic and ginger to the boiled onion and cashews. Blend into a smooth paste.
Wash and chop fresh methi. In a pan add gm ghee sauté methi leaves then add boiled matar and again sauté.
Add gm ghee/oil to the pan. prepare tadka of cumin and mustard. Add onion gravy. Sauté for - minutes. Add tsp red chilli powder, half tsp turmeric and salt to taste. Add methi and matar. Cook for - minutes. Switch off the gas and add malai. Mix well. Enjoy with roti or rice.
