500 Gram raw prawns, peeled and deveined 10 gram coconut/olive oil 1 onion, finely chopped 3 garlic cloves, minced 1-inch piece of ginger, grated 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise (adjust according to your spice preference) 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Lemon wedges for serving
Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Cook for another minute until the raw smell of the ginger and garlic fades away. Reduce the heat to low and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to combine the spices with the onion mixture. Add the peeled and deveined prawns to the pan. Stir gently to coat the prawns with the spice mixture. Cover the pan and cook for about - minutes, or until the prawns are cooked through and tender. Avoid overcooking as it can make the prawns tough. Sprinkle garam masala over the prawns and give it a final stir. Cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and transfer the prawn roast to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve the low-calorie prawn roast hot with lemon wedges on the side. It pairs well with steamed rice, quinoa, or whole wheat bread.
