For Pesto Fresh Basil leaves - about 2 cups nuts - 10gm (pine nuts are used traditionally but i used walnut n almonds) oil - 10gm cheese - 40gm grated (almost equivalent to 2 cheese slices) salt, freshly grated papper For Besil Pesto Pasta pasta - 45gm oil - 5 gm veggies - cherry tomatoes- 60gm
For making pasto, wash and dry besil leaves. blend all the ingredients together to make fine paste. Basil Pasto is ready to use. I made this for servings.
Boil the pasta so as to get well cooked.
In a pan, toss cherry tomatoes. you can use more veggies if you wish.
Add seasonings, cooked pasta to the pan.
Lastly add freshly prepared besil Pesto to the pasta (half of above quantity) and mix well. Allow everything to cook together for couple of minutes. you can add more cheese if it fits into your macros. Serve warm.
