Preparation

This asana induces full expansion of the chest and back. It increases circulation in the pelvic region, rectifying disorders of the reproductive system. Let's look at how it's done: Perform shirshasana.

Method

Step 1

When you straighten your legs upwards and when balance has been established, slowly fold the legs into padmasana

Step 2

Remain in the final pose for as long as is comfortable

Step 3

Then slowly Straighten the legs and balance again in shirshasana

Step 4

Then slowly release the shirshasana too

Step 5

And that's how you do Urdhva Padmasana

Step 6

Precautions: Avoid this pose if you have a knee injury or ankle pain, back or spine injury or joint pain.
