Stand straight. This is your starting position.
Now start bending your head to the left side
Then, as you move your head back to the centre, lift your right arm and touch the fingers to your neck by bending the arm
The exercise is to move head to the middle whilst lifting shoulder to 90 degrees and extending wrist and fingers then return to start position
This should be followed by bending the head away from the moving arm again
Continue this seesaw action - it should be a fluid movement there should be no holding of position
Nerve stretches are very sensitive and need to be performed gently
Move into the position and stop before you feel excessive stretch sensation of the nerve
Stop if this exercise exacerbates pain.
