Tricep Barbell Press works the triceps muscles. Lie on a flat bench. Hold the bar using a close grip at around shoulder width. Lift the bar and hold it straight over your chest. Keep your hands straight until they lock at the elbows.
Inhale and bring the bar down slowly until you feel the bar on your middle chest
Make sure that - as opposed to a regular bench press - you keep the elbows close to the torso at all times in order to maximize triceps involvement
After a pause, exhale and push the bar back to the starting position
Use your tricep muscles for this movement
Extend your arms completely
Repeat for the desired number of reps.
