Standing Barbell Calf Raises work the gastrocnemius and soleus. Stand with feet shoulder width apart. Hold a weighted barbell with your hands over your shoulders behind the neck.
Now, exhale and slowly raise your heels
Feel the contraction in your calves
Hold for a second
Inhale and lower your heels to the starting position
Repeat for the desired number of reps.
