This exercise opens the lungs, deepens the breath and lifts the heart while also improving your blood circulation. Let's look at how it's done: Stand straight with your legs apart Inhale and bring your hands on the waist. This is the starting position.
Exhale and bend forward from the waist keeping the knees straight
Bend down as much as possible with fingers or palms down
Inhale and come back to the starting position
Now, exhale and bend backwards
Then inhale and come back to the starting position
This is one round
Repeat for the prescribed number of reps
And that's how you do a Forward/Backward Bend
